Description: Gallium nitrate hydrate is a white deliquescent crystal, decomposed at 110 ℃ and heated to 200 ℃ to form gallium trioxide. Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether. Gallium or gallium trioxide is dissolved in nitric acid. Evaporate the solution and add water after concentration. Repeat this operation until there is no odor of nitric acid in the concentrated solution. Then dilute with water and cool the viscous solution to precipitate gallium nitrate hydrate.
