Uses: Tellurium dioxide is mainly used as an acousto-optic deflection element for the preparation of II-VI compound semiconductors, thermal and electrical conversion elements, cooling elements, piezoelectric crystals and infrared detectors. It is also used as a preservative. It is also used for bacterial test in vaccine to prepare tellurite.
