High Purity Bismuth Trioxide Bi2O3 CAS 1304-76-3 For Additives Of Ceramic Materials

Bismuth oxide, also known as bismuth trioxide, is an important inorganic compound with the formula Bi₂O₃. It is a yellow heavy powder or monoclinic crystal, insoluble in water but soluble in acid. Bismuth oxide has excellent electrical and magnetic properties, and is widely used in the field of materials science in the preparation of superconducting materials, magnetic materials and electronic devices. In addition, it is also used as a catalyst to catalyze various chemical reactions, such as oxidation reactions, reduction reactions, etc. In the field of medicine, bismuth oxide has an inhibitory effect on some pathogenic microorganisms and can be used to prepare antibacterial drugs.

PRODUCTS DETAILS

Name: Bismuth trioxide, Bismuth(III) oxide                                           Molecular formula: Bi2O3

CAS: 1304-76-3                                                                                      Molecular weight: 465.96

Description: Bismuth trioxide (bismuth oxide) pure products have α, β and δ types. α type is a yellow monoclinic crystal system, soluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, insoluble in water. It turns brown red when heated, and yellow when cold. The preparation process is to add sodium hydroxide solution without carbon dioxide into bismuth nitrate solution (80-90℃) for mixing. During the precipitation process, the solution remained alkaline, forming a white, volume expanding bismuth oxide hydrate Bi(OH)3 precipitation. Heating the solution, stirring for a short time, the solution dehydrated into yellow bismuth oxide. Bismuth oxide was prepared by washing, filtering and drying with water decantation.
